Things to do in Osaka

Our hotel is Hotel Villa Fontaine in Shinsaibashi.
Map as below

Places we must go.
No.1 - Minami (Namba)
A mixture of Akihara, Shibuya and Harajuku. A shopping heaven! The best part is, it's walking distance from our hotel. Hurray!

Shops we must visit.
There are many more shops I din't post it here. One of the shop is Hello Kitty shops, It's all pink! And I heard the Cosmetics there are really cheap! And of course for guys the 18xx Hamsup Shops la, Arcade and electronics.

No.2 - Shinsekai
Very Japan-ish street and loads of yummy Japanese food and tidbits. I think we must go there to have lunch/dinner and walk around.

Side things to do.
SPA WORLD! It's located in Shinsekai.
The Onsen! Let's go to Spa World if it's rainy day. They even have a water theme park in Spa world.
Watch kawaii Japanese girls in Bikini, relax in Onsen. Wah~ Paradise. Admission fees 2700yen all day.
They have 2 different zones in Spa World which is European Zone and Asian Zone. So for the month we are going European Zone are for Woman only and Asian Zone are for Man only. The interior in European Zone look very nice base on the photo. So do we have to take off our clothes and bathe together? Ahh! Shy! (/v\) But anyway, how can you not experience Onsen when you go Japan?! It's like you go Penang without eating Laksa! Right?

Okay! No.3 - Kyoto
I'll put an example. Let's say Osaka is Kuala Lumpur then Kyoto is Nilai. You get it? Means they are different area but are very close to each other. We will get there from Osaka Shinsaibashi by train within 30mins and I checked the train ticket are not very expensive. So I think we should spend a day in Kyoto.

The main reason why we should go Kyoto is to watch Geisha and Maiko so we must go to Gion.
Gion look more interesting at night. The street lights and atmosphere are awesome when the day is dark. They have 2 shows in Gion Corner daily at 6pm and 7pm. However, we have to pay 3150yen or ( 2800yen with Online coupon) for Admission fees.

There are many attraction point we can visit near Gion too. Like the Shrine, Temple, Market and Castle.

Now the rest are optional. Maybe we can ignore a few place to go.

No.4 - Kita (Umeda)
Umeda is like an urban city with lots of buildings. They have shopping mall and their attraction point is the Umeda Sky Building where you can chill at the deck of it's roof. I think the main reason we will go there is just shopping. But we do have shopping mall in Shinsaibashi too and we will shop in Namba as well. So probably when we couldn't find the stuffs we wanted to buy in Shinsaibashi or Namba then we only Umeda.

No.5 - Tenmangu Shrine
Well.. There is a Shrine and Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street look a bit like chee cheong kai. The main reason to go there is to visit the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living.
In the Museum they built a street and buildings like the Edo period (Ancient). Then we get to try on Kimono/Yukata and take photos. I wonder we will see ninja or samurai or not. Haha! Sounds fun right?! The admission fees is only 600yen!

No.6 - Osaka Castle (Osakajo)
The Castle look Marvelous! and boring too. Like just go there walk walk look look snap some photos then chao. But the interesting part is the attraction near by Osaka Castle.

Osaka Museum of history.

Well.. If we go to Osaka Museum of Housing and Living then I think we can skip this one. I think it's almost the same.

Peace Osaka (World War ll Museum)
It sounds boring but I read the reviews from people who went. They say very interesting. They display the footage during the war, weapons and I don't know what. Because they say you will feel the horror and suffer being in the middle of a war if you go there. Woah~ Sound very geng but really bo?~

Lastly the Universal Studio!
The location is far. The admission fee is expensive. 6,600yen a day. If we go we will have to spend a whole day in there because it's HUGE! Let's see if we still have extra cash. If we don't then let's just go other place sight-seeing. xD

That is just a rough idea where we want to go. The itinerary is not final yet. Any more suggestion where we should go?
After finalize where we should go then I will plan the itinerary like which day we should go to which place and how do we get there. So eggcited! o( >v<)o

  1. Yes!! Dotonburi is a must-go! There's a sushi restaurant there that has a really longsushi conveyer belt and the sushi are really cheap. It's on the second floor (look out for an electronic man waving sushi or something).

Another recommendation would be the Golden Dragon ramen (http://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g298566-d325333-i57495913-Dotonbori-Osaka_Osaka_Prefecture_Kinki.html)
